Founder & Executive Director, Battle Buddy Response Team® Combat-Injured U.S. Army Veteran. Samuel Rock is the founder and driving force behind the Battle Buddy Response Team®, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting combat veterans and their families in crisis. A U.S. Army combat veteran, Samuel deployed to Iraq at just 18 years old with the 814th Engineer Company. After sustaining severe injuries in a combat zone—under orders from his own unit—he was medically evacuated and honorably discharged by age 19. Samuel’s own journey through pain, isolation, and homelessness became the foundation for BBRT. His mission is deeply personal: to ensure that no veteran ever feels alone, forgotten, or unsupported after service. Under his leadership, BBRT has responded to calls across the country, bringing hope, peer support, and direct intervention to those who need it most. Today, Samuel continues to travel nationwide to advocate, respond, and build a network of support strong enough to catch any veteran on the edge. His story is one of survival, service, and the unwavering belief that no battle buddy gets left behind.
