DonateIn 2021, research found that 30,177 active duty personnel and Veterans who served in the military after 9/11 have died by suicide - compared to the 7,057 service members killed in combat in those same 20 years. That is, military suicide rates are four times higher than deaths that occurred during military operations. Jun 27, 2022 https://www.uso.org/stories/
Unfortunately, Battle Buddy Response Team® has seen firsthand the aftermath of when Veterans were in crisis and didn't know who to turn to for help. Trauma, isolation, physical injury, mental health illnesses, sometimes coupled with addiction, can be debilitating for the Veteran and can often create a barrier that a concerned party doesn't know how to breach. This is why it is imperative for family members, friends and even acquaintances to reach out to Battle Buddy Response Team® when they are concerned about a Veteran or their family member because of our unique ability to relate to and be able to help Veterans in need.
