Battle Buddy Response Team® Completes Critical Roof Replacement Project for a Texas Veteran
The Battle Buddy Response Team® (BBRT) is proud to announce the successful launch and completion of a critical home repair project in Texas for a veteran in need of a new roof.
Because of the generosity of our supporters, BBRT was able to raise the funds necessary to cover the full cost for a licensed roofing company to remove and install a brand-new roof for this veteran’s home.
This project represents exactly why Battle Buddy Response Team® exists.
We are committed to continuing projects like this for veterans who are quietly struggling—not only with unsafe living conditions, but also with the emotional and mental strain that comes with post-traumatic stress, service-connected injuries, and other disabilities.
When a veteran cannot afford a necessary home repair, does not know who to contact for help, or feels overwhelmed by life circumstances, that burden quickly becomes compounded. For many, the stress of a failing home and unmet needs directly impacts their mental health and overall stability.
BBRT shows up to help relieve that pressure.
We cannot promise that we always have the perfect solution—but we do promise to pursue the best possible solution every time a veteran or their loved one reaches out for help.
Since launching in 2019, Battle Buddy Response Team® has responded to requests for assistance in all 50 states and Canada after concerned family members, friends, and community members contacted us on behalf of veterans in crisis. Every response is handled with discretion, respect, and compassion.
To date, our team has logged more than 500,000 miles traveling to veterans and their families in need.
Looking ahead, our fundraising goal for 2026 is $1,000,000.
Each response we make can cost anywhere from $500 to more than $40,000, depending on the needs of the veteran and the resources required to provide meaningful support.
While we strive to respond to every request for help, there are times when limited volunteer availability and funding prevent us from answering every call.
With continued community support, Battle Buddy Response Team® can expand our reach, increase response capacity, and take an important next step—hiring employees to strengthen operations and ensure veterans receive timely, consistent, and professional support nationwide.
